Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator adjusted by a snail cam, steel pointer on the plate. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, the lever with counterbalance extension arms extended beyond the pallets. Escape and lever pivots with endstones in polished steel settings. Snailed steel wolf’s teeth winding work.
Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals, gilthands, blue steel seconds hand. Substantial 18 carat open face case with faded engine turning, gold cuvette bearing the inscription “Chronometro Gondolo – 161022 Patek, Philippe & Cie, Geneve. — Fabricado expressamento para Gondolo & Labouriau Relojociros Rio de Janeiro”. Accompanied by a certificate from Patek Philippe showing the watch was manufactured in 1910 and sold in January 1911.
