An 18th Century English centre seconds cylinder in gold and enamel pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with signed and numbered gilt dust cover. Pierced and engraved cock with large diamond endstone, pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm polished steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, large brass escape wheel. Lateral steel stop lever. White enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals, polished steel seconds hand, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Plain inner case, gold pendant and bow, maker's mark “IR” in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement. Fine engraved outer case the floral decoration of translucent dark blue champleve enamel, makers mark “HT”.
