An 18th Century English quarter repeating cylinder in gold and enamel pair cases made for the Turkish market. Small full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock with large diamond endstone, pierced and engraved plate for the silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, large steel escape wheel. Push pendant quarter repeating on a bell in the back of the case. Fully restored white enamel dial with Turkish numerals, blue steel hands. Gold and enamel pair cases. The outer un-pierced, the bezels set with split pearls, polychrome floral decoration to the back. Unusual gold inner case pierce and engraved at the edge, the centre with polychrome floral decoration matching the outer.
