Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement . White enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands. Plain 18 carat open face case made in one piece, the movement hinging out. Small gold slide in the band to stop the watch acting on the balance, maker's mark “BB” in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.

In excellent overall condition.

Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed engine turned silver dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. Plain 18 carat half hunter case, the front cover with an unusually large glazed aperture, blue enamel chapter ring. Plain gold cuvette, maker’s mark “TR” in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement. Brown morocco covered case with easel stand.

Plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring, gold cuvette with dedication dated 1917. Maker's mark “JWB Ld” in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.

Enamelled Singing Bird Box and Watch

A 20^th Century Swiss enamelled singing bird box with silvered mounts and fitted oval watch. Small lever watch movement mounted in the front of the box. Wound and set by a crown under the box, silvered oval dial with gilt centre, blue steel hands. Singing bird mechanism with going barrel wound by key below the box. Small bellows mechanism providing air to a variable whistle operated by a system of cams and levers. The rod at the side of the box is pulled to start the bird singing. The oval lid rises and a bird appears, turning from side to side, flapping its wings and moving its beak. When the song is finished the bird falls backwards and the lid closes. Rectangular box standing on four small ball feet. The faces of translucent red enamel over an engine turned ground framed by engraved silvered mounts. The repousse scene on the oval door is of a couple embracing on a bench surrounded by birds.

Hebdomas keyless eight day movement with the large resting barrel covering the back of the watch marked “8 Jours Ancre – Interchangeable- Spiral Breguet Levees Visible – Swiss Made”. Engraved bridge below the dial, polished steel regulator. Uncut bimetallic balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed puce enamel dial, Roman numerals in blue circular cartouches, silver decoration either side of the chapter ring, gilt hands. Decoratively engraved silver open face case.

Silver Watch Chain and Unusual Actor’s Fob

An early 20^th Century silver chain and fob depicting the patron saint of actors. The chain of large hollow oval links engraved around the edge. "T" bar close to one end of the chain and spring clip on the other. Short length of the chain to an unusual pierced cast silver fob depicting Saint Genesius. The Saint is holding a mask which swivels. On one side the mask bears a frown, on the other a smile. Around the scene "Saint Genesius – Guide my Destiny". Marked "Weston – Sterling" on the reverse.

Hebdomas type keyless eight day movement with the large resting barrel covering the back of the watch marked “8 Days” in a number of languages. Engraved bridge cock to below the dial, polished steel regulator. Uncut bimetallic balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial, gilt Roman numerals in dark blue enamel cartouches, gilt decoration either side of the chapter ring, pierced gilt hands. Gunmetal open face case damascened in silver and gilt floral decoration.
