Description
A late 18th Century English verge in gilt metal and underpainted horn pair cases. Full plate fire gilt fusee movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with radially set Arabic numerals, gold hands. Plain gilt metal inner case, gilt pendant and bow. Gilt metal outer covered in translucent horn underpainted with a scene of a lady beside a garden monument.
In very good condition. Unusually the movement bears the date
