Description
An early 19th Century English verge in a two colour gold open face case set with turquoise. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement, engraved cock with diamond endstone, polished steel Bosley regulator, flat plain three arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Engine turned gold dial with applied gold Roman numerals and decorative two colour gold border, gilt hands. Decorative 18 carat open face case, the back with matted ground and applied chased and engraved contrasting coloured gold decoration set with turquoise. The middle of the case similarly decorated with applied gold and turquoise. Matted gold bezels, pendant and bow with applied chased gold decoration, maker's mark “AN”.
