An unusually small late 19th Century Swiss quarter repeating lever in a gold full hunter case. Small gilt split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, uncut bimetallic balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Slide quarter repeating on two polished steel gongs. Decorative white enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt and silver border, pierced gilt hands. Small plain 18 carat full hunter case, engraved dedication on the gold cuvette, gold slide in the band.
Few small repeating watches were made, even fewer survive intact as they were so often converted to wrist watches
