Description
A late 18th Century English verge with enamel named dial in silver pair cases. Full plate fusee movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved round cock, silver regulator disc on an engraved plate. Plain three arm steel balance. Unusual white enamel dial, the numerals replaced with the original owner's name “William Baker”, gold hands. Matching silver pair cases, silver pendant and bow, maker's mark “WR” in a rectangle.
In excellent overall condition, unusually bearing the date of manufacture rather than a serial number
