Description
A mid 19th Century English verge with railway dial in silver pair cases. Full plate fusee movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved round cock, steel regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. White enamel dial with a polychrome enamel scene in the centre of a green locomotive pull passenger carriages, the first one open. Roman numerals, gold hands. Matching silver pair cases, silver oval pendant and bow, maker's mark “JB” over “WW” and number corresponding to that on the movement.
A good example of one of the rarer subjects in excellent overall condition
