Silver English Deck Watch

A fine early 20^th Century centre seconds English lever deck watch and box.  Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement engraved with the broad ministry arrow.  Plain cock with diamond endstone, polished steel regulator.  Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring.  Club foot lever escapement.  Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones.  Signed and numbered white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Substantial plain silver open face case maker's mark "WB" in a rectangle and  number corresponding to that on the movement.  The case constructed without a front bezel or cuvette, gilt winding button. Mahogany three tier deck box, the watch secured in a brass drum by locking the middle tier.  Signed and numbered circular bone plaque marked with the broad ministry arrow on the top lid.
