A late 19th Century Swiss cylinder with digital dial in a silver open face case. Keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Plain gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. White enamel dial with gilt decoration either side of the central aperture revealing the digital indication of minutes, a circular aperture above showing the hours and below these a small subsidiary seconds dial. The minutes change instantaneously as the seconds hand passes 60. Engine turned silver open face case with vacant shield shaped cartouche on the back cover, makers mark “GT” in an oval.
