A fine and rare watch. This form of decoration is seldom found on watches. Additionally the back has extra applied gold decoration. It is in exceptionally fine condition, apparently unused, and shows no sign of corrosion. The lable in the back cover may well be that of W J Baird Jewellers. Founded in 1924 the firm still trades today in Kelso, Scotland. The decorations of dragons suggest the watch was intended for the Chinese market.
