An 18th Century dumb half quarter repeating cylinder by Vulliamy in gold pair cases and glazed protective outer. Full plate fire gilt movement, gilt dust cover pierced to reveal the table of the pierced and engraved masked cock, large diamond endstone. Pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, large brass escape wheel. Push pendant half quarter repeating on a block in the case. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. An additional later engraved silver alternative dial is also supplied with the watch. Plain gold inner case, gold push pendant and bow, maker's mark “PM”. Gold outer case, the bezel engraved and decorated in champleve enamel. Replaced gold back engraved with a scene of a couple with camels and attendants. Third gilt metal protective case with glazed back, the bezels covered in shagreen.
