A 19th  Century English minute repeating lever in a gold half hunter case.  Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, diamond endstone. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring.  English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones.  Slide minute repeating on two polished steel gongs. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands.  Substantial plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring, two flysprings to the front cover.  Recessed slide in the band, maker's mark “PW” in an oval.  Faux tortoiseshell morocco covered presentation box lined with purple velvet.
