Description

An early 20^th Century American lever in a large silver open face case.  Damascened nickelled full plate keyless movement with gold screws, going barrel. Plain cock with unusual polished steel micrometer regulator, gold sector index on the plate.  Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, black Roman and red Arabic numerals for the minutes, blue steel hands.  Substantial silver open face case, decoratively engraved back, gold hinges, gilt winding button and silver bow.  Silver cuvette, maker's mark “Dueber” in a rectangle.
