A mid 20th Century Swiss centre seconds stainless steel British Army issue wrist watch by International Watch Company. Nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel, ministry broad arrow mark. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, incabloc shockproof jewelling. Uncut balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed black dial with broad ministry arrow, centre seconds, luminous Arabic numerals and hands. Stainless steel case with screw on back marked with the broad ministry arrow and serial number “GB/6B346 – 1471/52”, marked “JWC – Stainless Steel – International Watch Co – Swiss”. When the winding button is pulled out to set the watch the balance is stopped (hack feature). On a black leather strap, grey nylon NATO strap also supplied.
