A 19^th Century Swiss cylinder in an engine turned open face case. Keywind gilt Lepine calibre movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with blue steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Engine turned silver dial with an engraved scene to the centre, subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, gilt hands. Engine turned 18 carat open face case, small circular cartouche on the back engraved with a monogram and crown above. Engine turned middle, wound and set through the gilt metal cuvette.

Gold Half Hunter Chronograph by Nicole Nielsen

A fine 19^th Century English lever chronograph by Nicole Nielsen in a gold half hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement, going barrel. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with flyback centre seconds chronograph and subsidiary for continuous seconds at 9 o'clock. Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Engine turned 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. Clip on back, maker's mark “AN” in a rectangle. number corresponding to that on the movement.

Dent often retailed watches from other makers. Nicole Nielsen manufactured for many of the eminent watchmaking firms in the second half of the 19th Century. Some were also retailed in other countries such as Australia and America, Tiffanys being one of their principal customers. Adolphe Nicole took out the patent for keyless winding in 1844..

A late 17^th Century English silver champleve dial verge in silver pair cases. Deep full plate fire gilt movement, Egyptian pillars with pierced galleries above. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with mask, pierced and engraved foot. Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc. Signed silver champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, beetle and poker hands. Plain silver pair cases, split bezel, silver pendant and bow. Plain silver outer case with seven joint square hinge.
