An early 20th Century Swiss quarter repeating lever in a gunmetal open face case. Gilt split three quarter plate keyless 15 jewel movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, uncut bimetallic balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Slide quarter repeating on two steel gongs. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Plain gunmetal open face case, gunmetal cuvette, gilt bezel, hinge, thumb piece, winding button and bow.
Swiss patent number 34984 for the repeating mechanism was taken out by Giuseppe Citelli in November 1905. He transferred the patent to Picard & Co. in 1906.
