Description
A Rolex centre seconds bubbleback gentleman’s wristwatch in an attractive tonneau shaped case with hooded lugs. Nickel keyless automatic movement with nickel rotor. Signed metal dial with centre seconds, applied gold Rolex insignia and batons, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands. Tonneau shaped 14 carat case with gold screw down winding crown marked “Rolex Oyster”. Signed gold screw bubble back engraved with a list of Christian names. Hooded lugs for the brown alligator strap with gold Rolex buckle. (Model No. 3065)
Regarded as being one of the most attractive bubbleback models. The thirteen names engraved on the back appear to be almost exclusively female. It would be interesting to know the history of these names as it is unlikely to be the names of a family.
