Description

An early 18th Century English verge in gold pair cases.  Full plate fire gilt movement with square baluster pillars.  Silver pierced and engraved masked cock with yellow diamond endstone in a polished steel setting.  Gilt pierced and engraved plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring.  White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals within an engraved gilt edge, blue steel beetle and poker hands.  Matching 22 carat gold pair cases, gold pendant and bow. The movement released from the case by pushing a pin through the case below the six.  Plain outer bearing only the maker's mark “ELC” in a rectangle.
