Description

A fine early 20^th Century English minute repeating lever in a gold full hunter case.  Gilt half plate keyless movement by Nicole Nielsen, going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, diamond endstone. Compensation balance with blue steel double overcoil hairspring.  Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. English double roller lever escapement.  Slide minute repeating on two polished steel gongs. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Very substantial plain 18 carat full hunter case with thief proof swivel bow.  Gold cuvette with engraved presentation in gratitude of 50 years service!  Maker's mark “HMF” in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.  In original signed presentation case lined in red velvet.  Accompanied by Frodsham certificate.
