A 19th Century Lepine calibre duplex in a gold open face case. Keywind gilt Lepine calibre bar movement. Signed and numbered suspended going barrel, polished steel Geneva stopwork partly under a gilt cover. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, diamond endstone. Plain three arm gold balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Duplex escapement, escape wheel pivots with endstones. Engine turned silver dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, blue steel fleur-de-lys hands. Engine turned 18 carat open face case with vacant circular cartouche on the back, engine turned middle. Wound through the signed and numbered gold cuvette. Number corresponding to that on the movement, maker's mark “FD”, additionally “IMC”.
