A late 19th Century Swiss chronometer in a heavy large gold engine turned full hunter case. Keyless damascened nickelled bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Heavy compensation balance with blue steel helical hairspring. Large screwed in jewelling in gold settings, blue tinged sapphire jewels for the barrel and winding work. Pivoted detent chronometer escapement, spiral blue steel return hairspring for the detent. Escape wheel and detent with endstones. Numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative pierced gold hands. Substantial engine turned 18 carat full hunter case, large vacant shield shaped cartouche on the front cover. Signed gold cuvette and glazed cover to the movement.
