A fine late 19th Century freesprung lever by Charles Frodsham in a gold half hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with diamond endstone. Compensation balance employing quarter timing nuts, freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring, maker's mark “HG” in a rectangle.
