Gold Double Albert and Patent Fob

A 20th Century 9 carat rose gold graduated curb link watch double Albert. Two graduated gold chains of equal length, all links marked. In the centre a gold "T" bar and, attached to a short length of chain, a fob with gold mounted rose tinted stone. One chain terminating in a gold spring clip, the other in a sprung gold jump ring. This has a patent safety fob attached with a delicate sprung retractable chain. Plain gold filled face, brass back marked "Ketcham & McDougall - New York - Patent Feb 24 1903", lacking pin.
Ketcham and McDougall specialized in thimbles and novelties from 1832 to 1932. Known for its patented retractable chain chatelaine pins and brooches which were used for holding eyeglasses, watches, and pencils.
