A mid 19th Century Swiss cylinder in a gold and enamel full hunter case accompanied by an alternative dial. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, blue steel Breguet hands. Gold and enamel full hunter case. The from cover depicts a highlander in a polychrome enamel cartouche. The jacket and decoration around the scene in translucent green enamel over an engine turned ground. The back cover with a star shaped enamelled cartouche of a mountain scene, a bird and flowers in the foreground. Wound and set through the signed gold cuvette. Unusually the watch has been supplied with an alternative style of dial. The engine turned silver dial has Roman numerals and applied gold decoration. Both fitted in a tan morocco presentation case lined with velvet.
