Description
A 19th Century freesprung English lever in a large gold half hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Engraved cock, compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. Clip on back engraved with a coat of arms and monogram. On the inside the dedication “Enrique Hope Bolland – from his Father and Mother – 2nd May 1929” Maker's mark “RO” in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement.
