An early 20^th Century desk set comprising a goliath watch and matching barometer fitted in a stand with thermometer.  The watch with a large keyless gilt bar movement, going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, uncut bimetallic balance with spiral hairspring.  Club foot lever escapement.  white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Substantial plain nickelled open face case.  The barometer in a similarly sized nickle case housing an aneroid mechanism.  White enamel marked in inches of mercury and weather.  Small pointer in the rotating bezel to record the current reading.  Morocco covered case lined with green velvet to house the watch and barometer, easel stand.  The front covered with a silver face hallmarked in Birmingham, a small mercury thermometer at its centre.
