A fine late 19th Century Swiss lever enamelled ball watch set with diamonds and matching brooch. Unusual keyless gilt movement constructed with the train wheels above the going barrel. Plain sector cock with polished steel regulator. Compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Small white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, the 12 o’clock marking in red, gilt minute markings and hands. The case is constructed in three parts, the gold middle with a row of diamonds The two gold hemispheres of dark blue enamel set with small diamonds in stars. The watch is wound and set by turning the top hemisphere of the case in relation to the lower hemisphere. Matching diamond set gold and enamel brooch.
