An early 19th Century Swiss cylinder with offset dial in a gold and enamel open face case. Keywind gilt Lepine calibre movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Silver dial, the offset chapter of Roman numerals within an engine turned border, gold Breguet hands. Slim gold and enamel open face case, finely painted polychrome floral decoration on a black ground. The decoration repeated on the front cover bordering the offset dial. Wound and set through the signed gold cuvette.

Rare Gold Pocket Chronometer by Eiffe
A very rare chronometer with Eiffe’s auxiliary temperature compensation is a gold open face case. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with blue steel Harrison’s maintaining power. Engraved gilt barrel bridge with polished steel ratchet, click and spring. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, screwed to the table Eiffe’s auxiliary temperature compensation device. Unusual heavy compensation balance, the timing nuts on the inside of the rim. The bimetallic rims "D" shaped in section and the steel blued. Sections of the rim slotted to allow the screws to be held securely. Freesprung blue steel helical hairspring. Earnshaw type spring detent chronometer escapement, jewelled impulse pallet. Screwed in jewelling, escape pivots with endstones. Unusually the centre pinion is jewelled in the pillar plate but a plain brass bush in the top plate. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gold hands with heart shaped tips. Substantial plain 18 carat open face case, maker’s mark "SC" in a rectangle.

A rare 19th Century English reverse fusee freesprung lever with power reserve by Frodsham in a silver open face case with Lund’s patent winding. Gilt half plate keywind movement with reverse fusee and chain. Harrison’s maintaining power. Plain cock with diamond endstone, heavy compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English double roller lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape, lever and seconds pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiaries power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, fine blue steel fleur-dis-lis hands. Plain silver open face case, wound and set through the silver cuvette. Maker’s mark "HMF" in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement. The gilt button is fitted with Lund’s patent winding, a short steel shaft with a square. This is secured in the case when the back is closed by a steel pin.

A fine late 19th Century Swiss gold and enamel brooch watch in the form of a beetle. Oval keyless gilt bar movement under a glazed bezel. Going barrel, frosted steel wolf’s teeth winding wheels. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Small white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, the twelve marked in red, gilt hands. Fine gold and enamel case in the form of a beetle, the gold wings of translucent light blue enamel over an engine turned ground and set with diamonds. The wings opened by depressing a button in the tail to reveal the dial. Diamond set chased and engraved head, the eyes represented by two small rubies, small gilt winding crown. The underside of the beetle realistically portrayed with finely chased and engraved legs applied to the hinged cover. Inside the cover an oval glazed frame for a miniature portrait. Gold and enamel loop for the long rope chain. Fitted presentation case covered in light grey suede.

A late 19th Century minute repeating moonphase calendar lever in a heavy gold full hunter case. Keyless nickelled bar movement with going barrel. Grained steel flyback chronograph work above the bridges. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Slide minute repeating on two polished steel gongs, repeating train and hammers fully jewelled. White enamel dial with flyback centre seconds chronograph. Subsidiaries for day, date and second, the month displayed in a small rectangular aperture below twelve o’clock. Gold and blue enamel moonphase disc visible through the aperture in the seconds subsidiary. Roman numerals, gold hands, decorative pierced gold hands for the day and date. Very substantial large plain 18 carat full hunter case with five joint hinges, maker’s mark “JL” in an oval. Gold button in the band at twelve for the flyback centre seconds chronograph which is disabled when the cover is closed. Gold slide at six o’clock for the minute repeating. Plain gold cuvette, glazed cover to the movement. Four steel levers in the front bezel to allow the calendar functions to be set.

Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Slide minute repeating on two polished steel gongs. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, gilt hands. Substantial engine turned 18 carat full hunter case, gold slide in the band to actuate the repeater. The front cover depicts the coat of arms of the Russian Empire in black enamel, the ribbon joining the three crowns in blue enamel. Gold cuvette signed in Cyrillic “Pavel Buhre his Majesty’s Court Supplier”. Inside the front cover a dedication which translated as “Most Merciful it was granted to the artist of the French Troupe of the St. Petersburg Emperor’s Theatre – L Gistrily 1890”

Large button at six o’clock for the minute repeat and a smaller button at two o’clock for the flyback chronograph. Gold cuvette engraved with details of the watch and medals won.

Unusual keyless gilt movement constructed with the train wheels above the going barrel. Small white enamel dial with blue Arabic numerals, the 12 o’clock marking in red, gilt minute markings, blue steel hands. The case is constructed in three parts, the gold middle with a row of diamonds The two gold hemispheres with applied gold foliate decoration set with diamonds on an engine turned ground. Between the foliate decoration shaded translucent and red enamel. The watch wound and set by turning the top hemisphere of the case in relation to the lower hemisphere. Fine matching diamond set gold and enamel brooch formed to resemble leaves and a flower. In a shaped red morocco gilt decorated presentation case lined with black velvet.
