Decorative 18 carat gold open face case, chased and engraved middle, bezels, pendant and bow. Faded engine turned back with vacant circular cartouche, maker’s mark “SB” in a rectangle.

Massey type two lever escapement. Fine and attractive gold dial, applied gold Roman numerals on a matted ground. Applied three colour gold decoration to the centre and border of the dial, blue steel hands. Engine turned 18 carat open face case, the movement hinged at 9 o’clock. Engine turned bezels, deeply chased and engraved middle, pendant and bow. Maker’s mark “TH & Co” and number corresponding to that on the movement.

Unusual three arm balance, polished steel arms and blue steel inner rim inside a gilt outer rim, blue steel spiral hairspring. Large screwed in Liverpool window jewelling to all pivots including the fusee with the exception of the centre. Massey type two lever escapement. Lateral steel lever to stop the watch under the front bezel. Fine decorative gold dial with subsidiary seconds. Matted ground, three colour applied gold decoration to the centre and edge, applied polished gold Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial decorative 18 carat gold open face case, Chester hallmarks without date letter. Chased and engraved middle, bezels, pendant and bow, crisp engine turned back with vacant circular cartouche. Maker’s mark “T.H” over “J.H” and number corresponding to that on the movement.

A mid 19th Century centre seconds duplex made for the Chinese market in a pearl set silver gilt and enamelled open face case. Keywind gilt bar movement with richly engraved bridges and suspended going barrel, blue steel stop work and screws. Engraved sector cock with garnet endstone, polished steel regulator. Five arm polished steel balance. Duplex escapement, brass escape wheel, pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with centre seconds, slender Roman numerals, gilt hands. Unusual silver gilt open face case, the front bezel, front of the oval pendant and bow set with split pearls. On the reverse the bezel, pendant and bow are decorated with blue champleve enamel. The back of a finely painted polychrome enamel portrait of a young lady on a blue background. Wound and set through the sprung gilt cuvette.

The background of the design filled with many hundreds of tiny split pearls entirely covering the back. Trefoil bow, wound and set through the gold cuvette. Pearl set key and short gold chain.
