Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Uncut bimetallic balance with spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial plain open face nickle case. The English aneroid barometer in a matching nickle case, the rotating bezel with a blue steel pointer to record the setting. White enamel dial marked in inches of mercury and the type of weather expected. Both fitted in a black morocco covered case with easel stand and lined in green velvet. Plain silver mask to the front with a central blue spirit thermometer marked in Fahrenheit.

An early 20^th Century English lever chronograph in a gold open face case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement . White enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands. Plain 18 carat open face case made in one piece, the movement hinging out. Small gold slide in the band to stop the watch acting on the balance, maker's mark “BB” in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.

Enamelled Singing Bird Box and Watch

A 20^th Century Swiss enamelled singing bird box with silvered mounts and fitted oval watch. Small lever watch movement mounted in the front of the box. Wound and set by a crown under the box, silvered oval dial with gilt centre, blue steel hands. Singing bird mechanism with going barrel wound by key below the box. Small bellows mechanism providing air to a variable whistle operated by a system of cams and levers. The rod at the side of the box is pulled to start the bird singing. The oval lid rises and a bird appears, turning from side to side, flapping its wings and moving its beak. When the song is finished the bird falls backwards and the lid closes. Rectangular box standing on four small ball feet. The faces of translucent red enamel over an engine turned ground framed by engraved silvered mounts. The repousse scene on the oval door is of a couple embracing on a bench surrounded by birds.

Hebdomas keyless eight day movement with the large resting barrel covering the back of the watch marked “8 Jours Ancre – Interchangeable- Spiral Breguet Levees Visible – Swiss Made”. Engraved bridge below the dial, polished steel regulator. Uncut bimetallic balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed puce enamel dial, Roman numerals in blue circular cartouches, silver decoration either side of the chapter ring, gilt hands. Decoratively engraved silver open face case.
