A late 19^th Century English centre seconds chronograph in a silver open face case.  Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  English table roller lever escapement.  Signed and numbered white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands.   Substantial plain silver open face case with ribbed middle,  small gold slide in the band to stop the watch acting on the balance.  Vacant circular cartouche on the plain back, plain silver cuvette, gilt winding button, maker's mark “JR” in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement.  

A very rare late 19^th Century lever by Patek Philippe with 24 hour digital dial fitted in a nickle open face case.  High quality keyless bar movement with going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator adjusted by a snail cam, steel pointer on the plate.  Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring.  Club foot lever escapement, the lever with counterbalance extension arms extending beyond the pallets.  Escape and lever pivots with endstones in polished steel settings.  Snailed steel wolf's teeth winding work.  Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds  and a central minute hand.  At twelve a small circular aperture for the hours marked 1 – 24 which change instantaneously.  Arabic numerals, blue steel hands.  Fitted in a plain open face nickle case with screw bezel and back.

A fine late 19^th Century Swiss minute repeating lever in a gold open face case.  High quality keyless nickelled bar movement manufactured by Meylan, going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator.  Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring.  Club foot lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones.  Slide minute repeating on two polished steel gongs.  Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel hands.  Unusual plain 18 carat open face case converted to be used as a wristwatch by adding a second pendant and false crown at six o'clock, probably early in its life.  Applied wire work monogram to the back cover, slide close th the pendant which stops the hands being set.  Engraved dedication on the gold cuvette, “Mary D Biddle  from her children SFBB – LMBR – HJB – CWB   Christmas 1894”.
