The top plate skeletonised and engraved wish a scene of a town and inset with a small compass. Large Silver Hunter Cased Lever

A fine Swiss mid 19^th Century lever in a silver full hunter case. Keywind nickelled bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, its index on curved section of the main bridge. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot straight line lever escapement, escape pivots with endstones on a gold setting. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, slender Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial engine turned silver full hunter case, rope bezels with flat covers. Gold hinges, thumb piece and flat button, maker's mark “CHs Tissot & Sons – Locle – Warranted Coin”. Wound and set through the signed and numbered silver cuvette.

An early example of Tissot's work made in Switzerland expressly for this American retailer, being signed on case, dial and movement. The Yeomans were evidently successful and innovative as shown by an extract from Amsterdam NY Evening Recorder and Daily Democrat of November 17th 1910. As a wedding present to his new bride Louis Yeoman installed electricity throughout his mansion, including an elevator. The writer notes that the house will “not only be the wonder of Lake county but will attract curiosity seekers even from Chicago itself.”

Small keywind bar movement, plain signed steel plate with richly engraved gilt bridges and suspended going barrel, polished steel regulator, blue steel stop work and screws. Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Signed white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Unusual small open face case set over its entire surface with split pearls including the middle, pendant and bow. The back decorated with five graduated rows of split pearls, a cluster of split pearls in the centre. Wound and set through the glazed cuvette. Matching pearl set gold key. Velvet lined fitted red morocco case.

An unusual small watch in excellent condition. The movement made in the same style as the larger centre seconds watches by Bovet made for the Chinese market

A rare mid 19^th Century enamelled duplex for the Chinese market in a plain gold case. Keywind Tixier calibre movement with gilt champleve blue and white enamel cock, bridges and suspended going barrel. Silvered engine turned plate. Garnet endstone in a gold engraved setting, polished steel regulator. Blue steel stop work and screws. Polished steel three arm balance with three blue steel affixes, spiral hairspring. Steel crab tooth duplex escape wheel allowing the hand to appear to beat seconds. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, centre seconds, blue steel hands. Plain gold open face case, gold oval pendant and bow, button to release the back cover. Glazed gilt sprung cuvette with apertures for winding and hand set..

A rare example in excellent overall condition. In 1858, a Genevan craftsman called Pelaz, living in Fleurier, introduced enamelled bridges adapted for the Tixier caliber of Chinese Market movement. They created enormous interest, but very few were made due to the delicacy of the pieces and the fact that the temperatures involved in the enamelling process sometimes caused the bridges to distort, which affected the going of the movements. The jacket and decoration around the scene in translucent green enamel over an engine turned ground. The back cover with a star shaped enamelled cartouche of a mountain scene, a bird and flowers in the foreground. Wound and set through the signed gold cuvette. Unusually the watch has been supplied with an alternative style of dial. The engine turned silver dial has Roman numerals and applied gold decoration. Both fitted in a tan morocco presentation case lined with velvet.
