An early 20th Century English centre seconds lever in a large and substantial gold full hunter case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gold hands. Unusually large and substantial plain 18 carat full hunter case. Small gold slide in the band to stop the watch by acting on the balance, plain gold cuvette. Maker’s mark "BB" in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement. Fine rosewood keep case with vacant shield shaped mother of pearl cartouche on the lid, lined in blue velvet.
