A late 19th Century pedometer wind lever with power reserve indication in a square silver case. Damascened nickle three quarter plate movement with going barrel wound by an oscillating weight. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Automatic winding work set above the plate carries a weight set at the side which oscillates as the wearer walks, safety mechanism to avoid over-winding. White enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Square shaped decorative silver case, the back chased and engraved with stylised birds of prey. Numbered silver cuvette engraved with details of the watch unusually clipping inside the body of the case. Hinged front cover with circular glazed aperture opening to reveal a second glazed bezel and hand set lever. Shaped silver bow and gilt winding crown.
