An early 19th Century English chronometer converted to lever by Arnold in a gold consular case. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement, blue steel double tooth barrel spring setup and spring. Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, large “Z” type compensation balance, the arms with adjustable weights on threads at their free end. Blue steel freesprung helical hairspring on an ajustable stud. Well converted to English table roller lever escapement, a gilt plate covering the detent slot. Screwed in jewelling left in their original positions, small jewels for the lever pivots between them. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, fine gold hands. Substantial plain 18 carat consular case, the back and front bezel sharing a common hinge. Maker's mark “TH” in a rectangle and number corresponding to that on the movement.
