Description

A rare miniature mid 18^th Century Swiss verge in a gold and enamel consular case with matching chatelaine.  Very small full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Pentagonal baluster pillars. Wound through the white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, fine gold hands.  Miniature engraved 20 carat gold consular case, the back decorated with a polychrome enamel scene of three figures.  Matching chatelaine of three oval graduated polychrome enamel  plaques mounted in gold frames, the buckle with gilt clasp and two short chains.
