A late 19th Century Swiss minute repeating lever in a fine large square silver case. Gilt split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain bridge cock with polished steel regulator and sector index. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Push minute repeating on two polished steel gongs. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial large square engine turned silver case, vacant shield shaped cartouche on the back. Gilt push at the side for the minute repeat, circular silver cuvette. Glazed circular aperture for the dial, the back hinging to form an easel stand to enable the watch to be used as a desk clock.
