Description
An unusual late 19th Century Swiss sector shaped lever watch with flyback hands in presentation case. Keyless gilt sector shaped bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed sector shaped white enamel dial with Arabic numerals for hours and minutes, the quarters marked in red. The blue steel hands move through an arc of 120 degrees flying back to zero when they reach the right hand side of the dial. Sector shaped silver case with hinged bezel and back chased and engraved in an art nouveau foliate design. Fixed cast silver bow and cuvette engraved “Sector Watch”. Gilt tooled red morocco covered presentation case lined in burgundy velvet.
