Description

A fine late 19^th Century Swiss lever gold and enamel ball watch set with diamonds.  Small gilt three quarter plate keyless movement constructed with the train wheels above the going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel.   Small white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, the 12 o’clock marking in red, gilt minute markings and hands.  The gold case constructed in three parts all decorated with translucent light blue enamel over an engine turned ground. The middle set with four small diamonds.  The hemispheres of engraved gold foliate decoration set with very small diamonds.  The watch is wound and set by turning the top hemisphere of the case in relation to the lower hemisphere.  Suspended from a short gold chain from a plain gold bar, pin with safety catch.  In a blue velvet lined blue presentation box.
